Azos B2B and B2C apps
Front-end of the whole Azos ecosystem: B2C and B2B apps, broker and client dashboards and backoffice, behind an insurtech with over R$ 150B in insured capital.
Azos Seguros is a Brazilian insurtech that sells life insurance 100% online: no medical exams, no bureaucracy, coverage up to R$ 1 million, premiums from about R$ 5/month and contracting in under 5 minutes. Optional coverages include critical illness, total disability by accident and funeral assistance, plus the Guardião feature, where the policyholder names a trusted person to make sure the policy is triggered and paid.
I helped build most of the front-end across the whole ecosystem, from the first sale to the day-to-day operation:
- B2C app (iOS and Android): quote, contracting and policy management for customers, in React Native with biometrics and Firebase
- B2B app: the broker-facing React Native app, the main sales channel of the operation
- Client dashboard: self-service area to follow and manage policies, in Next.js
- Broker dashboard: sales pipeline and policy follow-up for the broker network, in Next.js
- Backoffice: internal tools for operations and support teams, in Next.js
Stack and architecture:
- Front-end: React Native for mobile and Next.js for the web, all in TypeScript
- Data layer: TanStack Query for fetching, caching, invalidation and server-state sync
- BFFs in NestJS: one BFF per channel (B2C, brokers and backoffice), aggregating calls to the backend microservices into responses shaped for each screen
- Forms: React Hook Form with schema validation in multi-step quote and contracting flows
- Quality: unit and component tests with Jest and Testing Library, and Storybook to develop and document components in isolation
- Observability: error monitoring with Sentry, later migrated to Datadog, plus Firebase analytics for product funnels
- Delivery: CI/CD pipeline shipping continuously to both stores and the web
Impact:
- 40k active users and 11k brokers
- Main sales channel of the operation
- Over R$ 150B in insured capital, with approval from 30 seconds to 1 business day
